Slingshot Scenic Drives

We highly recommend taking the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway to the Beartooth Highway and on into Red Lodge, MT (about 3-hours driving straight through, but you’ll want to take full advantage of pull-outs and points of interest!). This is such a beautiful, scenic drive and you don’t want to miss the unique opportunity that a Slingshot provides! Stop in Red Lodge for lunch, maybe some shopping too, and take HWY-120 E back to Cody (about 1-hr)!

Beartooth Scenic Highway (U.S. Route 212)

The Beartooth Highway is an All-American Road on a section of U.S. Route 212 in Montana and Wyoming between Red Lodge and the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park, passing over the Beartooth Pass in Wyoming at 10,947 feet above sea level. It has been called “the most beautiful drive in America”!
